Next up on our Quarantine Series is one we all definitely need! A little Purell hand sanitizer is the bees-knees these days, stores could barely keep it in stock when this all started! Now they have a rationing system to keep the hoarders at bay but it quickly became a hot item!

Don’t worry, there’s no hand sanitizer in this recipe. My Pure-L is made from pure lemons! This lemon sorbet isn’t just ya mama’s lemon sorbet. With everything going on, we could DEFINITELY use a DRINK! A splash of champagne in our sorbet adds a sparkling flavor and gives us a wonderful texture.

I took it one step further (when do I not?) and plopped two scoops of this bad boy right into a glass of champagne! Talk about a sweet treat!

Pure-L: Lemon Champagne Sorbet

Cleansing ourselves with fruity and bubbly treat! Fresh lemon and champagne sorbet is truly what we need to sanitize the soul.

Lemon Champagne Sorbet

  • 1 1/2 cup water
  • 1/4 cup champagne / prosecco
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 cups lemon juice fresh
  • 2 tbsp zest


Lemon Champagne Sorbet

  • Bring water, champagne and sugar to a boil until sugar is fully dissolved.
  • Remove from heat and add in the lemon juice and zest.
  • Chill completely (4 hours or overnight) and churn to your ice cream machine's instructions.
  • *For a fun cocktail – add two small scoops of Lemon Champagne Sorbet to your flute of your favorite champagne or prosecco.
